Petco, Petsmart, Purina, whatever would probably be chomping at the bit (pun intended) to get new pet owners introduced to their brand(s). Cost-per-action coupons for training sessions, discounts on dog-food, localized classifieds for petsitters, dog walkers, etc. Question - who decides what characteristics apply to what animal? One person's "great with kids!" is another person's "this dog bit my nephew in the face." Community tagging/voting perhaps? Or is that making things too complicated. As JK mentioned, it would be difficult to get feeds from shelters, so that would probably be added only in major markets where there is a feed that is easily consumable. JK - Thanks, man! What's the likelihood that this business will get any substantial number of local shelters to update and maintain the pets they have available?
